Allison joined Hato Hone St John in 1982 as a volunteer event medic based in Wellington. She moved into the Youth programme where she has held multiple leadership roles. Currently District Youth Manager Wellington and Central Regional Portfolios Manager. She is experienced in planning and implementing Regional and National activities. Allison has had three terms on the Greater Wellington Area Committee including as Treasurer, Deputy Chair and Chairperson. She is a 3 Steps for Life Community Educator.

Allison's paid employment has been in the fire and general insurance industry for more than 35 years. Her roles have included managing high-performing teams, budgets and development plans.Working with international students meant engaging and working alongside NZ Government departments and foreign/NZ embassies in NZ and overseas. Her current roles include industry compliance preparation and ongoing management with regard to the Financial Markets Authority and complex claim management.

Allison is passionate about volunteering and giving back to an organisation that has provided her with many varied opportunities.
