Phil is an elected member of the Priory Chapter, a member of the Order Affairs sub-committee, and on the Rules sub-committee. He joined St John in 1991 and has since held various roles, including General Manager of the Central Region, Internal Audit Manager, National Volunteer Advisor, and appointed member of the Central Region Trust Board. Currently, he volunteers as an Ambulance Officer in Horowhenua and as a Three Steps for Life (3SFL) community educator.
Phil's professional background is in electrical engineering within the energy sector. He has over 20 years of experience in the petrochemical industry and is currently employed in the Environmental and Property Solutions function, providing oversight and guidance in retail asset management activities.
Phil also has extensive health and safety experience, having held senior leadership roles globally, including in health promotion, which he is incredibly passionate about. His expertise spans engineering, controls, audit, health and safety, security, commercial and retail operations, and he is committed to sharing his knowledge to enhance wider organizational understanding.
Phil is deeply engaged and committed to the future success of Hato Hone St John. He is married to Marlene, who is also a member of Hato Hone St John, and they have two children.
