MEDIA ADVISORY ON INDUSTRIAL ACTION

Gerard Campbell |

Hato Hone St John have been advised by First Union and the New Zealand Ambulance Association (NZAA) division of the Amalgamated Workers Union New Zealand that their members will withdraw labour for four hours from the beginning of their shifts on 20 August and 24 August.

Patient safety and wellbeing remain our top priority and we have plans in place to ensure that impact to our critical or seriously unwell patients is minimised. There may be delays to some patients requiring responses to non-life threatening cases.

For more information on the industrial action and how we will be operating during these periods to keep New Zealanders as safe as possible, please visit https://www.stjohn.org.nz/action/

We will have more information to share tomorrow (Monday, 19 August) and have a spokesperson available for media at this time too.
