ST JOHN RESPONDING TO GLENORCHY-QUEENSTOWN ROAD CRASH

St John is responding to a crash involving a bus at the Glenorchy-Queenstown Road, about 10km from Queenstown.

We were alerted to the crash at 1.48pm, and have despatched two helicopters (from Queenstown and Dunedin), three ambulances and a manager. Ambulance officers have assessed 20 patients: two with serious injuries, one with moderate injuries and the remainder with minor injuries.

We are still on scene and the patients will be transported to Dunedin and Lakes District Hospitals.
