Statement: Ashburton Health Shuttle

Lizzie Johnston |

St John received a call to a motor vehicle incident involving a St John Health Shuttle on Main South Road, south of Christchurch at 9.34am today.

Six ambulances, four clinical managers, one rapid response vehicle and one helicopter responded to the scene and treated seven patients who have all been transported to hospital; two in critical conditions, three in serious conditions and two in moderate conditions.

Our thoughts are with the patients, their wider family, and friends – and our Health Shuttle teams at this difficult time.
