UPDATE SERIOUS CRASH, BUNNYTHORPE, MANAWATU

St John was notified of a serious crash involving a school bus and a train on Railway Road, Bunnythorpe at 8:04am. Four ambulances, one manager, and a Rapid Response Unit responded to the scene.  

St John has assessed 40 patients at the scene and six of them have been transported to Palmerston North Hospital. Their conditions range from moderate to minor.
