Our 3 Steps for Life programme is for high schools, tertiary education, and community groups such as sports clubs, faith based groups, retirement villages, marae, special events, and more.

Sign up for a free one-hour training session that will give you lifesaving skills and confidence to help if someone has a cardiac arrest in your community. You will learn how to take action by calling 111, how to start CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).

Did you know?

Every year, over 2,000 people in Aotearoa will have a cardiac arrest outside hospital care, and only 1 person in 10 survives.
The chance of surviving is much higher when they receive immediate help.

Doing CPR can keep someone alive until an ambulance arrives with medical help.

An AED can bring the heart back to a natural beating rhythm; using one increases the chance of survival by up to 49 per cent.
